This guide is not meant to answer every question about this mini game, but it’s the least amount of information you need to know to exploit the hell out of it and make a ton of cash. I’ve seen a lot of questions about quick money in Ishin, so here’s the quick and dirty guide to chicken betting that will get you all of the ryo you’ll ever need for the full game in one to two hours tops. In the area after being chased by the Fog Monster for the second time, there will be some stairs leading up to a shrine and some more stairs leading to this tree. You will need to come here on New Game+ to obtain the Sacred Sword anyway, so you will get this while going for endings. The scarecrow puzzle will require you to select the correct scarecrow in five areas. If you do all five areas of this puzzle without choosing the wrong scarecrow, you will get the trophy.
When you get close to it, it will teleport forward and block off the area, forcing you to the fight the enemies to continue. If you let the Fog Monster walk into the fog too far it won’t do the teleport, which means you missed it. During this fight, the boss will occasionally spawn puppets that slowly walk towards you. If they get caught in a fire attack, they will catch alight and rush at you, exploding. For this trophy, you will need to complete the fight without taking damage from any of these puppets. The best way to deal with them is to immediately attack them when they spawn while they’re still slow.
This will last about 10 seconds, after which an explosion will occur dealing heavy damage to you, so try to heal up while your health is chipping down to avoid getting instantly killed by the explosion. If you ever die during the fight, quit out to the main menu and continue that way, rather than clicking continue on the death screen. This boss will use multiple weapons, and will eventually teleport far away and shoot golden arrows at you. For this trophy, you must get through this arrow phase without being hit by any arrows.
They will die in 1-2 swipes, and you can then also Soul Siphon them with to charge your ability. If you see the boss charging a fire attack, stay away from any puppets to avoid them becoming explosive. If they do get hit by fire, stop attacking and let your stamina recharge, then dodge when they rush at you. Some people on YouTube and other social networks say that you have to wait a certain number of seconds between each step of Chicken Road to be sure to win. In Ebisugaoka Fifth Visit, after going through the park and dealing with the forced encounter, you will be able to go up some stairs. Off to the right of these stairs will be a new path you can take that leads to the Ancient Jizo Statue. When arriving at Main Hall on New Game+, you will be able to open an Inari-sama door upstairs near the second ritual area.
When you arrive at Chizuruya General Store with Shu and Rinko, there will be a Giant Monster as well as some regular enemies that you would normally ignore and go the other way to your objective. For this trophy however, you will want to defeat the Giant Monster. Lure out and kill the smaller enemies first, then focus on the Giant Monster. This will be the same as the previous encounter with it, so killing it shouldn’t be too difficult.
There are 22 Ema to found across New Game, New Game+ and New Game+2, and you will need 18 to fully upgrade your Health, Sanity and Stamina. Now once you go to the Inari-sama Shrine during Ebisugaoka Fifth Visit, there will be a water bath full of crimson water. Fortunately, there will be a checkpoint after after every two phases (so after doing one phase for each boss), and dying and continuing does not add to the time. This means you can die as much as you want, so you can take time to learn the bosses in each phase before completing the phases quickly. If you are doing this on NG+2, you will likely be doing this alongside Ending 4, which also has the longest boss fight. There will be checkpoints throughout the fight so you won’t have to redo the whole fight if you die. Ending 3 will have the easiest boss fight, but if you choose to do it on your second playthrough you won’t have as many upgrades or Omamoris for the rest of the playthrough.

If you ever make the wrong decision, simply quit out and continue, as it will checkpoint at the beginning of each area. Once you finish the game with either of these endings, make sure to make a separate Clear Save File. You will need a save file with at least 2 of the 3 full endings on it (indicated by the symbols on the save file) to be able to get Ending 4. This is entirely up to you however, as there are pros and cons to doing Lost in the Fog on your second or third playthrough. Doing it on New Game+ will mean you won’t have access to the Sacred Sword for the majority of the game and you also won’t be fully upgraded or have access to nearly as many Omamoris, meaning the game will be harder. While on Ending 4, you will have a double boss fight at the end, against both Kyubi and Tsukumogami. Against Kyubi you will have fight with the Fox Arm, while against Tsukumogami you will have your regular weapons, including the Sacred Sword. Each boss will have three phases, with you alternating between the bosses after every phase. In order to get this trophy, you must defeat both bosses in under 10 minutes.
While collecting Ema and Faith for your remaining stat upgrades, it is recommended that you keep one Ema to use in New Game+2. This is because you can unlock an extra Omamori Slot on New Game+2 which will be more beneficial than an extra upgrade in Health/Sanity/Stamina. You will be able to get the final stat upgrade towards the end of New Game+2. Score 1100 points to get all the other trophies along the way.
